After reviewing your responses, I determine if we are a good fit to work together and ask any follow-up questions I need to clarify your needs and goals. Then I create a proposal and quote for your project, which I send via email. If you agree with the plan and the price, you pay half as a deposit and the other half when the site is finished. Significant changes to the original agreement can incur additional fees, but these are always discussed before they are completed or charged.
How long does a project take and how much is it going to cost
The price is based on the nature of the site, any special functionality that might be needed, the style of design desired, and the amount and nature of the products or information to be displayed. A simple brochure site would would normally take 4-6 weeks and start at £1000. A large content driven site or web application could take several months and cost upwards of £20k.
I quote a flat fee for each project so you will always know how much you are paying. My fee for hourly work (like website maintenance) is £50/hour. However, I build systems so you can update your site yourself, thus reducing or eliminating the need for ongoing maintenance.
